How to implement RSS Auto-Discovery?

Solution

RSS Auto-Discovery allows the visitor's web browser to automatically detect that an RSS feed exists for the page being viewed.

For example in Firefox you will notice an RSS icon in the URL bar.

To implement auto-discovery for Commentics, you simply need to add one line into your page's head tag:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Comments" href="http://www.domain.com/commentics_folder/frontend/index.php?route=part/rss/rss&id=1">

The only thing to do now is to make the "id=1" part dynamic. You can find this by clicking the link to the RSS page and looking at the end of the URL.

Don't forget to replace 'domain.com' with your actual domain name and 'commentics_folder' with the name of your Commentics folder.
